The Neuroscience and Mental Health Institute Connections project, in collaboration with the U of A Days of Action Committee and the Sound Studies Institute, bring us an evening of poetry centred around themes of mental health, neurological disorders, and wellness.
Heather Ritz, a Community Social Work with Wellness Supports, starts the evening off with a presentation about Happiness Reflected, a multiyear project which invites members of the U of A community to submit poems about happiness as a way to open up discussions about mental health. After the presentation will be a poetry reading, featuring students and alumni reading their poems from the Happiness Reflected project, and following that reading will be an open session where guests are invited to share their own poetry with the audience.
